President’s News – October 2012
Wow, it’s October, hope you’ve all started your Christmas shopping!
I’m looking forward to the first meeting of our new committee this month. They’re already coming up with some great ideas, so hold onto your hats.
Gold Coast Writers Festival
As you all know the Gold Coast Writers Festival is coming up on the 26-28th of this month. Forward bookings are strong, so if you haven’t already done so you may want to encourage your friends to secure their seats through http://goldcoastwritersfestival.eventbrite.com.au/. I’m just confirming the final list of authors for the Krish India informal dinner on the Friday evening, and the Literary Luncheon on the Sunday – we already have 14 confirmed authors for the luncheon including Jan Murray, our keynote speaker and author of SHEER MADNESS: Sex, Lies and Politics, and Goodbye Lullaby. I’ll email you all and let you know next week who will be where.
You’ll also be pleased to know we’ve had a good response to the various competitions and entries are now with our hard-working judges.
