Message from our Patron Kay Danes
I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the committee for inviting me to become a Patron of the GCWA. It is indeed an honour to be part of such a vibrant group of like minded people devoted to developing their craft. The GCWA is an invaluable organisation and as stated in its mission: established to be a home for writers, a place to learn, a place to grow and a place to be heard. Writing is an art form that touches on all aspects of the human experience. It can raise awareness, a call to action, effect change and inspire. It is one of the most powerful forms of self-expression. It can take a person to an exotic travel destination without ever leaving the comfort of their home. It opens a whole new world to the reader and creates a place where nothing is impossible.
The GCWA’s committee is dedicated to providing a professional environment for writer’s to harness their creativity, exchange ideas, broaden their horizons and explore a range of opportunities that exist in the ever-changing world of publishing. I do hope you will enjoy being part of this premier association.
