Christmas Competition

Theme
The competition theme is Christmas.
Any entries submitted off-theme will not be published.
Categories
There are no specific categories. You may submit any style of writing suitable for a Christmas themed eBook, eg. short story, children’s story, poem, article, recipe, how-to, reflection, memoir, etc.
Originality and Copyright
Submissions must be the original work of the author; not previously published elsewhere or entered in other competitions.
Copyright remains with the author with permission granted to GCWA to publish entries on the website and in the Christmas eBook.
Images
You must own the copyright or permission to use any images you use to illustrate your entry.
Deadline
All entries must be submitted by 30 November.
Voting
Voting on individual entries is open to members and non-members alike.
To register your vote for any entries, hover over the star rating image on the entry (post) and click on the number of stars you feel appropriate.
You may vote on multiple entries and rate them as you wish.
Voting may commence when the entry has been approved for publication on the website.
Winners
The best entries – those scoring the highest votes – will be published in an eBook in December.
The GCWA Committee reserves the right to reject any entries deemed not suitable for publication.
Submission
Submission Option 1:
Simple method – complete the form fields on the submission form to submit an entry in the competition.
Note: Image size limit for this method is 500 x 500 pixels.
Submission Option 2:
If you are familiar with and comfortable using WordPress, register here.
Once your account is approved you will be able to submit and enter your post entries on the site by logging in and using the normal post function in WordPress.

Is the Christmas competition entry limited to number of words?

There isn’t an official word limit, but be aware that people will be reading your entry online so a longer entry may not be read completely.
Please note that entry is limited to GCWA members.
